Buying CBD oil in the UK
CBD oil sold as food in Great Britain has to be on the Food Standards Agency's CBD public list. Every oil here is on it, and each strength shows its own FSA product ID and the application it sits under on the product page. You can see all of them together on our FSA list.
The FSA advises healthy adults to have no more than 10 mg of CBD a day. A 10 ml bottle holds about 200 drops, so the stronger the oil, the fewer drops make 10 mg and the longer the bottle lasts.
Full spectrum or pure?
Full spectrum CBD oil keeps more of the hemp extract and is made in cold-pressed hemp seed oil. Pure CBD oil is CBD on its own, in MCT oil, with a lighter taste. Both come in 10 ml dropper bottles.
CBD oil questions
How many drops is 10 mg?
About 8 drops of the 250 mg oil, 4 of the 500 mg, 2 of the 1000 mg or 1 drop of the 2000 mg. With the 1500 mg oil, 1 drop is 7.5 mg.
How long does a bottle last?
At 10 mg a day, a 500 mg bottle lasts 50 days, a 1000 mg bottle 100 days and a 2000 mg bottle 200 days.
Who shouldn't take CBD?
The FSA advises that CBD isn't suitable for under 18s, anyone pregnant, breastfeeding or trying to conceive, or anyone taking medication or immunosuppressed without speaking to their doctor first.
